This is the story of a Single Dad that was swept up in a scam to take advantage of him, tie him into two Contracts that damaged his life, took years of his work without payment and thousands of his dollars in a deal that should have paid him a 1966 Batmobile Replica that he could have completed in a few Years. Instead, he was totally ripped off.

After being threatened so many times to be sued, Scott Lee was up front and honest with Mark Towle and Kory Geick what the consequences would be if they cheated Scott.

The only thing Mark Towle ever gave Scott was Crap!

The only thing Mark Towle ever sent Scott toward their deal was a piece of crap damaged and scarred beacon cage. The craftsmanship was garbage. Mark Towle didn't even bother to remove the stickers that came on the aluminum bars. The only thing nice about the part was the revolving light inside and Mark Towle didn't build that of course. Mark sent Scott some Bat shaped mirrors he claimed were a gift that were nice but he admitted he didn't make those.

Mark Towle claimed he never sent any goods into West Virginia in his Declaration. Mark Towle scammed Scott by claiming his parts and kit would be delivered to Scott at Mark Towle's shop in California. Scott was being pressured to go into a second contract with these clowns after 3 years and not having anything in hand to show for his years of work and his $8,000. Scott said No Way till he gets something in hand. After many weeks possibly 2 months Mark Towle finally sent a Beacon because Scott demanded it and was not going any further till he got something out of these guys. Scott wanted his Kit and couldn't get it from these clowns. They refused to assist him in any way with getting his kit and kept telling him his work wasn't done. The only way Scott could get these Bozos to even admit he had done the work and say the Batmobile It was his was to go into a second contract with them.

Mark Towle didn't even want to send Scott a Beacon and Scott didn't understand why. Scott found out later exactly why when learning about jurisdiction rules. Mark Towle refuses to ship parts to clients in some states because that is a determining factor in winning jurisdiction. It would seem Mark Towle prepares for litigation with clients from the start by making sure his contracts state that all parts are delivered into their client's ownership at his shop in California. Then when he is in litigation, he claims he has never shipped a part into that state and that the part was already the property of his client. So basically, even if he gives you garbage you have already accepted delivery of it even before you get to look at it or touch it, even when it IS JUNK. What a load of Horse manure!

He lied all through it, claiming he never participated in the Web Design, never sent any code (emails), never instructed Scot or Kory with the web Design...etc.

Mark Towle has more tricks up his sleeve than Houdini when trying to rip jurisdiction away from his clients. Don't ever allow Mark Towle to give you a contract that says your parts or replica will be delivered to you at his shop in California. Not only can he use this deception to take jurisdiction from your home state, but he can claim that whatever he has delivered to you is already owned and approved of by you while he will likely keep it in his shop locked from you ever picking it up. That is if he will even ever disclose to you the actual location of his shop, and if he ever actually built it for you in the first place.

The Beacon has:

  • Metal drips all over it
  • Sticker residue on it
  • the vertical rails have a 1/8 gaps in them in places and are suspended there by sheet metal screw in them. Some aren't cut flat or square to the base.
  • the welding is atrocious with the welds bubbling out of seams like foam coming out of a beer can.
  • The welds are simply ground down and there is no smooth welds seen anywhere on the entire piece.
  • The Beacon has scratches in the aluminum and actual small chunks divot-ed out of it.

Look at the utter garbage he sent Scott. This Beacon is supposed to be show quality for a show car! Scott was dismayed and shocked. In fact when Scott received the hunk of junk he felt wounded and insulted. Mark Towle demanded perfection to everything Scott did, and demanded absurd minuscule changes to colors or fonts and other things Scott was designing and then he sends Scott a POS Beacon after Scott had trusted him with 3 years of his work up front and $8,000. Not only that, but Scott had been coerced to give a tremendous amount of other work on credit and this was the crap Mark Towle presented him as representative of the work Scott could expect in return. Scott was highly upset and rightfully so!
